What is included in the workshop fee?
All materials, tools, expert instruction, and light refreshments are included. You will take home your finished candle or perfume with a custom label.
Do I need prior experience?
No experience is necessary. Our workshops are designed for beginners and guided step by step.
How long is a workshop?
Perfume mixology workshops usually run for 2–2.5 hours. Candle mixology workshops run for around 1 hour.
Where are the workshops held?
Workshops are held at our Red Rosie studio: 265 Kensington Road, Kensington Park, South Australia. Directions and parking information are available on our website.
What if I am late?
Please arrive 10 minutes early. Late arrivals may miss part of the session, and makeup time or refunds are not available.
Are the workshops suitable for men?
Yes, we have lots of materials suitable to make men’s fragrances
Can children attend?
Our minimum age is 12 years. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Are there any health or allergy concerns?
Workshops involve fragrance oils, essential oils, and (for candles) hot wax. Please inform us of any allergies beforehand. Participation is at your own risk.
What should I bring?
Just yourself! All tools and materials are provided. We recommend wearing closed‑toe shoes and clothing you don’t mind potentially getting a little fragrance or wax on.
Will my candle be ready to take home immediately?
Candles may require curing time. We will advise whether you can take your candle home on the day or return/arrange shipping later.
Do you host private or corporate workshops?
Yes. We offer private bookings for groups, corporate events, and special occasions. Please contact us directly to discuss.
Will photos be taken during the workshop?
We may take photos or videos for marketing purposes. Please notify us if you do not wish to appear.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes. Parking is available in nearby streets and behind the studio (off Uxbridge Street) and public transport stops are within walking distance.
Are your ingredients all natural?
We use a mixture of natural and synthetic ingredients. Naturals are beautiful, but synthetics may be more sustainable or allergen friendly. All natural ingredients are clearly labeled.
Can I make a perfume and turn it into a candle fragrance?
You can create a similar scent, but candle fragrances differ as they are specially formulated for burning. Some ingredients, like essential oils, overlap.
What if Red Rosie cancels a workshop?
If we need to cancel for any reason, we will contact you promptly and offer the choice of a refund or reschedule.
What is your cancellation policy?
No‑shows are non‑refundable.
Cancellations more than 7 days prior are refundable or reschedulable. Between 3-7 days, rescheduling is possible subject to availability. Less than 72 hours’ notice or no-shows are non-refundable.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, with at least 3 days notice, subject to availability.
Can I reorder my personalised scent or candle?
Yes. We keep your workshop formula on file so you can reorder any time.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes. Gift vouchers are available online and can be redeemed for workshops. Validity and expiry details are shown at checkout.
Do you ship overseas?
Currently, we do not offer international shipping.
